How To Use This Site

This site has been designed for use in conjunction with our textbook, but it should prove useful as a stand-alone research site, as well. The web provides a rich resource of materials and contacts that would not otherwise be accessible. We will periodically check the links on the site to ensure they still exist, but if you come across a link that no longer functions we would be grateful if you could e-mail us.

The Federal Agencies page contains links to all the major federal agencies with some responsibility for natural resources.

The Teacher's Manual page provides general advice on teaching the subject, and access to the manual. The manual is password-protected and professors should e-mail Dean Rasband for the access details.

The Home page contains links to the book's 10 chapters. Each chapter contains links we thought relevant to the materials in the chapter as well as additional materials relating to some of the problem exercises.

This casebook web site is one of several portals through which you can access a variety of natural resource materials on the Web. If you'd like to do additional browsing, you may want to visit the following sites:

University of Denver's NaturalResources Weblinks (linking to natural resource issue by country, subject, journal, organization, legislation, treaty, reference and career information).

EarthTrends (the environmental information portal of the World Resources Institute).

Legal Information Institute (Cornell's web site devoted to natural resource law including legislation, recent federal judicial decisions and a variety of additional links).
